Managing Director

Home based

£120,000

Parallel Project Training has been on a remarkable journey. Founded and led by its original owners, the business has grown into a respected provider of project management training with a strong reputation for quality and innovation. As our founders prepare to step back into new roles, we are now looking for a new Managing Director to lead the next chapter.

This is more than a leadership role – it is an opportunity to shape the future direction of a successful, well-regarded company. You will take the helm of a small but highly skilled team, ensuring we continue to deliver excellent training while also driving growth, exploring new opportunities, and strengthening our position in the market.

Your role will combine strategic leadership (around 70%) with direct client-facing delivery (around 30%). Alongside setting the direction of the business, managing performance, and representing Parallel externally, you’ll also deliver high-level interventions such as senior client engagements, coaching, mentoring, and specialist training. This balance keeps you close to clients while ensuring you have the scope to lead and grow the organisation.

We are also in the early stages of moving towards a more diversified ownership structure. The new Managing Director will play a central role in this transition, with the potential for equity participation.

What we offer

  • A base salary of £120,000 per year
  • 3% employer pension contribution (up to 6%)
  • 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Salary sacrifice car scheme and cycle-to-work scheme
  • A non-contractual half-yearly bonus scheme (up to £15k, linked to company performance)
